| The health and safety of students
and staff is a priority of ACA.
As the school year gets underway, we are very
much aware of another potential surge of Novel H1N1 Flu, also known as
“Swine Flu.”
We understand the public health concern of
our parents, staff, and community. The Arizona Department of Health and
the Maricopa County Health Department monitor our state for flu cases
and will advise us regarding further flu outbreak developments in
Arizona.
The staff in our Health Offices will monitor
students for flu-like symptoms and will be sending home students who are
sick with fevers and coughs.
Under the guidance of the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC), we have planned responses that focus on
prevention and preparation.
ACA to partner with you and prevent the
spread of seasonal and Novel H1N1 flu in our community. We have provided
easy access links to public health departments, information, and
community resources. Please click on the Parent Frequently Asked
