Parent-Teacher Association

Dear Parents and Teachers,

ACA Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) warmly welcomes all new and returning parents and teachers! PTA is a highly motivated, energetic and cooperative group of parents and teachers that is focused on improving your child’s education at ACA .Through membership fees, donations and fundraising, the PTA supports and sponsors Art and Music classes, Classroom Supplies, Yearbook, and other programs.

Some of the goals of PTA are:

  • To promote the welfare of your children at ACA, and the community at large.
  • To encourage and enhance the relationship between home and school to bring parents, administrators, and teachers closer in order to cooperate for the enhancement and development of your children at ACA.
  • To sponsor projects and events for the benefit of all ACA students.

Your membership in no way obligates you to attend meetings or give your time in any way, although your voluntary participation is greatly appreciated.

Come to the Meetings and find out what is going on at ACA. PTA meetings feature upcoming events, guest speakers and offer you the opportunity to express your opinions, get involved and meet other parents. Check the website for meeting dates.

Volunteer, Volunteer, Volunteer! Please sign up in whatever way you can to support our sponsored events and activities. It’s a wonderful way to say to our students “We care about your education!”. Your commitment does make a difference.

How did you hear about us?
Is it a recurring donation?
If yes how long?

The following Question was asked to Dr. Salah Soltan (Ph.D. in Figh, President of Islamic American University, Professor at Dar Ul-Ulume, Cairo University)

Q: "Can ZAKAT money be paid to establish an Islamic School in America?"

Dr. Soltan: "It is mubah (permissible) to give Zakat for Islamic Education to protect our children from fitna (trail). It is our duty to establish in every city an Islamic School i.e. Islamic Education. At the conference of Ulmema in Makkah Mukaramah they said it is permissible to give some of Zakat to Islamic Schools. I asked many scholars at the Europe Figh Council and they agree as well"

        Jazak Allhu Khayran!
